Recognizing the important contribution of volunteer teachers who offer their services selflessly at the Social Educational Structure of the City of Athens, the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation offered the European Youth Card free of charge, highlighting the value of volunteering and aiming to contribute to their personal development and empowerment.

The Social Educational Structure is an important initiative of the City of Athens, it is part of social contribution activities, and is based entirely on the offer of voluntary teachers.
With the aim of providing equal learning opportunities for all, it provides additional teaching support to students in need or economically weak families residing in the municipality of Athens, as well as to secondary school graduates.

The European Youth Card supports young people in the country, as it ensures privileged access to a variety of economic, social and cultural activities. Giving priority to those most in need, we hope that this symbolic gesture greatly facilitates the daily lives of volunteer teachers.
